Dr. Anna Mirga-Kruszelnicka Roma pride, self-representation and the contemporary arts Zürich
27.1.2023

A lecture on Roma at the intersection of science, politics, and contemporary art. Dr. Mirga-Kruszelnicka provides insights into the cultural history of the Roma.

The Roma are the largest ethnic minority in Europe, yet their history, identity, and culture remain largely misunderstood and misrepresented. Focusing on pride and self-representation, Mirga-Kruszelnicka will discuss how cultural narratives can be used to combat anti-Roma prejudice and why the Roma aspire to establish a transnational museum for contemporary art.
